The Leonard Lopate Show on WNYC
John Freeman Gill, architecture and real estate editor of Avenue magazine, discusses his debut novel, The Gargoyle Hunters. Gill's novel tells the story of a father and son team who steal 19th-century gargoyles off the faces of New York City buildings so that they can raise money to save their home. The novel is based on a famous architectural heist that took place in Manhattan in 1974. March 23, 2017.
